Where history and romance come together in union - your union. This historic jewel set deep in the Devon countryside is an exceptional place to say "I do" to your intended. Bickleigh Castle is on a private estate that offers you exclusivity for your wedding. Our 11th century Great Hall is licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies and Civil Partnership Ceremonies and tiny 6th century chapel (believed to be the oldest living building in Devon) is the ideal setting for your blessing service, should you choose to have one. If you choose to have a Church Wedding, the Castle can still be exclusively yours. Bickleigh Castle offers outstanding photographic opportunities, including moat, tower ruin, and rhododendrons, to mention but a few. We can hold receptions for 20-120 people in our Banqueting room and the celebrations can then continue with dancing in our bar and dance area. This adjoins a comfortable lounge for those guests simply wishing to relax and catch up with friends and family.
