Located beneath Duke Humfrey's medieval library are the magnificent Divinity School and Convocation House. These spectacular historic rooms full of splendour can be the venue of an unforgettable ceremony and elegant wedding reception. The first part of your wedding may be a ceremony in Convocation House, built as a meeting place for the University's supreme legislative body, and where Parliament was held during the Civil War. There is an impressive entrance to this room via the adjoining Chancellor's Court, next to Sir Christopher Wren's Sheldonian Theatre. One of the highlights of the day will be time spent with your family and friends in the Divinity School, where everyone will marvel at 15th century architecture and the stone carved ceiling. With the help of our experienced events team and recommended caterers, the University's oldest teaching and examination room can be transformed into an elegant and comfortable dining area to suit your particular requirements. Guided tours of the library may be arranged to enhance your evening.
