Birtsmorton Court

Birtsmorton Court is one of the oldest private residences in the country. Dating back to 1241, this exceptional wedding venue offers an unrivalled experience for the Bride and Groom and their guests, with a majestic historic setting. The rare double moat and extensive formal gardens guarantee stunning photos. Birtsmorton Court is not a hotel, therefore the staff are able to focus solely on you throughout the day. The charming 14th century Church of England parish church has a capacity of 115 and is situated within the grounds of the Court. Inside the Court itself, the 16th century Great Hall is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 80 guests. The Great Hall is perhaps one of the most beautiful rooms in the country to hold a civil wedding with its timbered walls and 12ft windows. The Garden Room, formally an Elizabethan bowling alley, features exposed wooden beams and is surrounded by private gardens. This room is licensed for up to 200 guests - and its 93ft aisle will accommodate even the most extravagant bridal train! For the more adventurous couple, Birtsmorton Court offers outdoor Civil Ceremonies in the charming White Garden. Reception drinks are held in two beautiful, outdoor locations. The wedding breakfast takes place in our own elegant, complimentary marquee.
